OUR VALUES

Ownership

In short, ownership here means taking action, even when the path isn’t clear. It’s about striving for excellence, constantly seeking improvement, and being proactive. It’s a personal investment in doing the best work possible, and ensuring that everyone has the space to shine.

Teamwork & Initiative

Ownership, as we experience it here, is a defining quality that’s present in nearly everyone we work with. It’s remarkable because no one ever says, "That’s not my job." Instead, the attitude is always, "How can I help? How can I move this forward? How can we work together?" This mindset is what makes our environment special.

Taking Responsibility & Action

Ownership means taking responsibility and stepping up to act. It’s about getting involved, rolling up your sleeves, and having a bias for action. In contrast to large corporations where blame is often shifted or things get bogged down in bureaucracy, here, people truly take responsibility for their work. They don’t wait for someone else’s approval or push problems onto others—they take initiative.

Eagerness to Contribute

In some organizations, it can be hard to find people willing to take charge. Here, it’s almost the opposite. Everyone is eager to contribute, to raise their hand, and to take on challenges. And not just to participate, but to excel. I’ve seen colleagues go beyond their roles, evolving into leadership positions, spearheading projects that significantly improve how we work.

Going Beyond Job Roles

This sense of ownership isn’t confined to just work tasks either. It’s embedded in everything, from doing everyday things like unloading the dishwasher to organizing social events or even welcoming new colleagues to the team or city. We have multiple Slack channels dedicated to activities outside of work, showing that people are invested in the community they’ve built here.

Continuous Learning and Growth

There’s also a culture of continuous learning and growth, where people push themselves to improve, sharing knowledge and brainstorming ideas with each other. This attitude reflects in the quality of work and the way people go above and beyond, not for recognition but because they are genuinely invested in the outcomes.

Embracing Failure and Learning

One of the most unique aspects of ownership here is the way people take responsibility for mistakes. Admitting failure isn’t something to be ashamed of—in fact, it’s almost celebrated as an opportunity to learn and grow. People support each other through failures, and this collective drive to move forward is a key part of our culture.
